PERSONAL TRAINER

My name is Lisa, I am a US Navy veteran and although my “first career” was in aviation, I have been working along side of it as a personal trainer for the past 15 years. I became a NASM Certified Personal Trainer in 2002; I continued my education with several more national certifications focusing on Athletic Performance and Nutrition. A back injury and a few knee surgeries introduced me to Pilates while in physical therapy. As a Fitness coach, my specialties include eliminating low back pain and knee pain,  correcting muscle and postural imbalances, functional strength conditioning, and athletic performance.

What are your fitness goals?

As a Health Coach, I will guide you to gradually make lifestyle changes to overcome health issues such as autoimmune disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and to achieve overall wellness.

I want you to think about the life you would like to create, “WHY” you want to be healthier, and I will be with you every step of the way. You do not have to be perfect, life happens and we ALL fall into a jar of peanut butter from time to time.  When that does happen (even to me), you will have someone to pull you back out and keep moving forward.

BODY TRANSFORMATION

I found extreme relief through Pilates and in 2010 I trained as a Stott Pilates Mat and Reformer Instructer.  In 2012, I enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York, and Graduated with Honors as a Board Certified Holistic Health Coach.

ABOUT ME

My name is Lisa, I am a US Navy veteran and although my “first career” was in aviation, I have been working along side of it as a personal trainer for the past 15 years.  My passion for fitness started when I was around 8 years old…I grew up in a commercial fishing family and spent my summers on the boats and quickly realized I needed to be stronger.  I started doing pushups and sit-ups, and using a cast iron doorstop to do leg extensions and bicep curls before I even know what those words meant!

The Passion stuck. I became a NASM Certified Personal Trainer in 2002; I continued my education with several more national certifications focusing on Athletic Performance and Nutrition. A back injury and a few knee surgeries introduced me to Pilates while in physical therapy. I was hooked! I found extreme relief through Pilates and in 2010 I trained as a Stott Pilates Mat and Reformer Instructor.  In 2012, I enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York, and Graduated with Honors as a Board Certified Holistic Health Coach.

As for me, when I am not eating peanut butter (just kidding) you can find me out running with my Border Collie, camping with my husband and dogs, or curled up with a book.
